I live in Jokkmokk, a Sámi community and municipality. It’s my home, here in the arctic enviorment and lifestyle where we have the forest and mountain just around the corner. My world circuits around the reindeer and our culture, we all work together and no day is like the other. We are depending on the weather and I always make sure to have the best equipment and help with me

The PURPOSE of you/your/life/profession work:
I plan my life and my work to be able to work with the reindeer as much as possible and when it’s needed. Therefor I work with different things around the year, depending on season. I love to share knowledge and educate people about the Sámi culture and our way of living, and my entreprenourship is one way of making that possible. 

Favorite season:
Spring, when the sun starts to shine and melt the snow away, after months of darkness and cold. The reindeercalfes are born and a new year starts.

Favorite outdoor activity:
Being with the reindeer.

Favorite outdoor place/s:
In the mountain area of Jokkmokk, Sirges Sámi reindeer community.

Favorite campfire food:
Suovas, which is salted and smoked reindeer meat. Tastes best grilled at the fire outside.

Favorite food to forage:
Reindeer meat! But otherwise cloudberry, when it’s season for them.

Favorite "adventure"/nature read:
The books written by Apmut Ivar Kuoljok, a Sámi writer and tradtional knowledge carrier. He writes stories of his life as a reindeerherder.

Favorite cinematic/"adventure"/outdoor film:
I like movies based on true stories and can truly recommend ”Sameblod”, even though it is not really an adventurous nature movie mainly.
