How to Dress Properly
on The Mountain. 

The Multilayer Principle: Designing and developing apparel that caters to the extreme needs of
Ski Touring's very wide range of activities really brings out the best in our designers and product developers.
Just imagine an elevated heart rate causing excessive sweating when pushing uphill, reaching your destination,
wresting and cooling down - then skiing downhill with the wind in cooling you down - extreme conditions
calling for smart designs and high quality, performance apparel and the need to dress accordingly.

 

 



Layer 1.
The Baselayer.

This is where the apparel journey starts, do not compromise when it comes to your baselayer - the better the quality and performance the more comfortable and long lasting experience.

Tenson's baselayer is made in super comfy Merino Wool a premium wool quality that keeps you dry and comfortable in all conditions making it the go-to- baselayer of Ski Touring.

Depending on the length of your Ski Touring experince bring a second new and dry baselayer set in your packing - keeping you dry enhances your experience. In addition to the baselayer you need good quality performance socks - Tenson's socks comes in Merino Wool as well, make sure you have an extra pair in your packing.



Layer 2.
The Midlayer.

The midlayer style is made in Power Stretch material, comes with a full length zipper, making it easier to change your baselayer.



Layer 3.
The Insulation.

Our Ski Touring insulation layer is made in light- weight high quality Primaloft padding keeping you comfortable, dry and warm during your ascent and warm during our descent.

It’s a lightweight, insulated jacket that's easy to pack and protects against wind and rain. Wear it as a midlayer as part of your multilayer principle, or as a stand alone outer layer when weather allows for it.



Layer 4.
The Outer Layer - The Shell.

The outer layer, the wind and weather-resistant shell that features a membrane to protect the layers underneath from wind, rain and snow, while still ensuring breathability.

Tenson's Ski Touring jacket and pants is made of a smooth and highly comfortable lightweight stretch fabric that allows for a full range of movement and it features our highest grade of our proriatary MPC ExtremeTM laminate which com- bines extremely effective waterproof properties with exceptional breathing performance - the result: Guaranteed waterproofness of at least 10.000mm.

Tenson has developed and refined MPC laminate solutions for more than 30 years to meet the demands of ambitious outdoor enthusiasts and adventure travelers. MPC ExtremeTM combines extremely effective waterproof properties with exceptional breathing performance. The result: guaranteed waterproofness of at least 10.000mm.
