Down Jacket with Hood
Our well-tested Naomi Expedition down jacket with hood has proven its mettle for decades for active lifestyles in extreme weather and frigid climates. Water repellent, the Naomi Expedition features lightweight, RDS-certified down keeps you warm with 650-fill* power. On windy days, pull up the plush collar or use the robust, adjustable hood.
The well-designed jacket features smart details like adjustable sleeves, two-way, fleece-lined pockets, an inner pocket with secure zip and audio cord outlet, plus a D-ring on the right-hand side of the chest for secure fastening of adventure accessories.
When it gets too warm, use the removable and adjustable suspenders for “off the back” quick access when the cold and wind returns. This jacket is equally well-suited for the slopes as it is for other winter activities and adventures. This down jacket is available in red or black colorways.
The original Naomi Expedition Jacket was put to the test by Naomi Uemura on his 1981 expedition to Mount Everest sponsored by Tenson. Japanese adventurer Naomi Uemura was especially recognized for single-handedly mastering adventures previously only done in groups. He was, among other things, the first person to reach the North Pole and to climb Alaska’s Denali (formerly, Mt. McKinley) alone – in winter.
*Fill power is a number that indicates the relative quality of down. The number comes from a lab test that measures how many cubic inches of loft one ounce of that down fill produces. Higher fill power numbers indicate greater loft and insulating efficiency.
